The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 34nd class in 2024, the Foundation has provided over 6,300 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $72 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. The program guarantees scholarships and grants to pay for tuition & segregated fees for students whose household adjusted gross income (AGI) is $56,000 or less. Incoming freshmen will receive eight (8) consecutive semesters (4 years) of free tuition & segregated fees and transfer students will receive four (4) semesters (2 years).  You are automatically applying for this scholarship when you submit you application to attend.

• Student Excellence - Excellence Scholarships for $10,000 are awarded each year to 100 graduating high school students. Scholarship recipients are chosen for their demonstrated academic potential, outstanding leadership, citizenship, community service, integrity and other special talents. This is a competitive scholarship.

Application is due  November 7.

• Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
• Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
• High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Our program is one of the nation’s only national scholarship programs specifically serving youth that have experienced homelessness. The goal of our program is to provide financial assistance and staff and peer support to ensure that you are successful in getting to and through higher education and into the workforce.

The WTS Wisconsin Chapter invites young women who are pursuing careers in the transportation industry to apply for chapter scholarships. These scholarships offer opportunities for graduate students, undergraduate students, junior college/trade school students, and high school students. The winner of each scholarship will also receive a one-year WTS student membership, and will be nominated to the WTS Foundation for a chance to earn the WTS National Scholarship! 

As one of the nation's largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.

Class of 2023: Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative is now accepting online applications for its Community Service Scholarship Program. The co-op will award $1,500 scholarships to 90 students in the Class of 2024, for a total of $127,500. Scholarship candidates are also invited to apply for the 2024 Youth Tour of Washington, D.C. Two trips will be awarded, valued at $2,500 each.

Polk-Burnett’s scholarship program is based on community service, not academic grades, athletic performance or financial need. Candidates are required to submit a community service resume. In addition, candidates must be 1) the child or legal dependent of a Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative member, 2) graduating from high school in 2024 and 3) continuing education at an accredited technical school, college or university after high school.

The 2032-24 WiRSA Scholarship Applications are now online. The deadline for scholarship submission is February 20, 2024. WiRSA has always provided six scholarships to member school students and we added an additional six scholarships for students specifically going into the field of education in 2022.

The deadline for applying for the four WEAC Scholarships is February 1 every year 

Scholarship winners will receive grants of $1,450 per year for four years of college or university study, if they remain eligible.

Only high school seniors are eligible to apply, and only if a parent qualifies in one of these membership categories: an active WEAC member, an active retired member, or a parent who died while holding a WEAC membership.

In addition, the student must rank in the top 25% of his or her class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a non-weighted 4.0 scale) at the time of application, plan to pursue an education major or minor, and intend to teach in Wisconsin.

The local chapter of NWTF is looking for a Turtle Lake student who loves the outdoors.  This scholarship has many levels to it.  There is the $500 local level and then the $1000 state level.  Then there is also a $10,000 national level.  This scholarship is well worth your time to fill out. Applications are due to me by Feb. 12th.  

Every year the Wisconsin Title 1 Association is proud to help graduating seniors pursue their dreams by awarding up to four $1,500 scholarships. All recipients have been in a Title 1 program sometime in their school career.

5. Have been in a Title I Program between early childhood and grade 12

Upon further study of the applications, a member of the scholarship committee may interview individuals who qualify. The scholarship is awarded at the Wisconsin Title 1 Association's Spring Conference.

The Treasurer of the WT1A will make scholarship payments directly to the school/college that the recipient will attend upon receipt of tuition bill. It is the recipient's responsibility to get a copy of the tuition bill to the Association Treasurer. Payment will be made during the year following the spring of receipt.

The Al Leisz Memorial Scholarship is a "needs based" scholarship, meaning that preference will be given to students who can show finanacial hardship.  Deadline for this TLHS scholarship will be March 1 and should be handed in to Mr. Schneider.  

Mosaic Technologies proudly announces it has opened its scholarship application window for 2024 graduating high school students who will attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Since 1999, the company has supported 132 students in their pursuit of a higher education totaling $119,500 throughout our service area.

Scholarship applicants with parents or guardians who subscribe to service(s) with Mosaic Technologies are eligible to apply for one of our scholarships up to $1000.  Successfully submitted applications will be chosen based on their essay and individual community involvement.  The essay response must include the following:  the importance of broadband beyond entertainment, how broadband contributes to economic growth and development, and how broadband has changed the landscape within your rural community’s growth and development through its contribution to attracting people and business.

This scholarship is intended for a Turtle Lake student who will be attending a technical college in the fall.  It will cover tuition and books for the 1st year.  Deadline is March 15 to Mr. Schneider.

We would like to make available one $1000 scholarship to a qualifying graduating senior in the Turtle Lake Public School System. The Scholarship applicant must be pursuing a career in a healthcare related field. Attached herewith please find the Mayo Clinic Health System - Northland scholarship application and scoring sheet. Please make additional copies of this application if needed.

Please note that the following criteria must be met or the student will be disqualified from receiving the award.

• Must be entering a health care related field.

6 scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000 each.  Applicants must have a parent who is employed by Marshfield Medical Center-Rice Lake or work for Marshfield Medical Center themselves.  Deadline is March 25 to address listed.

We are pleased to offer 2- $1,000 Cooperative Achievement Scholarships opportunity to your high school seniors. We kindly ask that your scholarship committee choose one eligible student that ranks in the top 6-25% of the class. We prefer that the student chosen does not rank in the top 5% of their class. If no student meets the criteria, another selection should be made.

We ask your committee to follow the criteria listed below:

1. Applicants must have parents or guardians that are Barron Electric Cooperative members. Barron Electric will verify parent or guardian's membership.

Students whose parents or guardians who are directors, employees, or former employees of Barron Electric Cooperative do not qualify.

2. Applicants must attend one of the following high schools: Barron, Birchwood, Cameron, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, Clayton, Clear Lake, Cumberland, Hayward, New Auburn, Prairie Farm, Rice Lake, Shell Lake, Spooner and Turtle Lake.
3. Applicants must be seniors who will graduate and pursue a post-secondary education.

    5. Applicants must complete the attached application form or the schools' application form.

One of two scholarships may be awarded:
• Student attending UW-Eau Claire majoring in Accounting - $5,000.00 or
• Student attending UW-Eau Claire (preference to a business major) - $2,000.00

Scholarship Requirements:

• Maintain a GPA of 2.75 or better at Turtle Lake High School.
• Have applied to UW-Eau Claire at the time the application is submitted.

The NIAAA Student Athlete Scholarship recognizes the distinguished scholastic, leadership and sportsmanship attributes of high school student-athletes, and the importance of high school athletics in each student’s life. WADA selects both a male and female state nominee for consideration as a sectional and possible national winner.

The Polk County Agriculture Advocates will be providing a $600 Jerry Larsen Memorial Scholarship to a 2024 graduate from a high school in Polk County.  The application is due April 1st to the Secretary/Treasurer of our group.

Jerry Larsen was one of the co-founders of the Polk County Agriculture Advocates.  He was active in 4-H and FFA as a youth and was a farmer his whole life.  He was active in the FFA Alumni and state FFA Alumni organizations.

The scholarship will be presented at the Polk County Dairy Breakfast on June 8th this year.  The monies will be awarded after the first semester when the youth provides evidence of completing a semester and enrollment for the second semester.

Youth should have been involved in agriculture or planning to pursue an agriculture related program of study.

 We are offering the opportunity for a scholarship. The scholarship is available to individuals looking to enter a career in wildlife conservation and/or natural resources and is attending either Turtle Lake, Clayton, or Clear Lake High Schools.  The deadline for applicants to complete the attached application is April 1^st. The Law Enforcement Foundation will award a Scholarship of $500 to selected
Applicants who are planning on attending post-secondary education for a career in
Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement. Scholarship recipients are selected by the members
of the Law Enforcement Foundation of Barron County Governance Board.
You are eligible for this scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
• You are currently a High School Senior in Barron County
• You will be attending post-secondary education next year either at a 4-year
University or 2 Year Vocational/Technical and majoring in police science, criminal
justice, or a law enforcement-related field.

Parents must have a United Mutual account prior to applying.  Deadline is April 1 to address listed.  Scholarship is worth $500. .  

The Polk County Historical Society is offering the first ever Glassel-Hofmann Family College scholarship to eligible Polk County seniors in 2024. This need-based scholarship is being offered to students who will be attending a post-secondary institution (ex. technical school, community college, or four-year university). We are asking each student to submit a short essay along with the cover sheet and a picture.
Essay: Describe your future goals, what attending post-secondary school will mean to you, and how this scholarship can help you achieve your goals. No more than 1,000 words. No handwritten essays accepted. Include your name, high school, a waiver stating your essay is your original work on the separate cover sheet.

Scholarship amount: $1,000.00.

Eligibility: enrollment in a post-secondary institution with a two or more-year program; must be a resident of Polk County. Scholarship winner gives the Polk County Historical Society permission to print the essay in the quarterly newsletter.

• The Turtle Lake Lions Club will award 2 scholarships The Olaf Pederson scholarship will be in the amount of $1000.00 and the other scholarship will be in the amount of 1000.00 as well.  Due date is April 1st to Mr. Schneider.  

This scholarship has been established for Turtle Lake High School by the current members of the Board of Education.  Deadline is April 3 to Mr.. Schneider.

This scholarship is intended for a graduate of TLHS. Donna was a beloved member of the TL community who worked at the school as a paraprofessional for many years. Deadline is April 7^th to Mr. Schneider.

Who is eligible to apply?

Any Barron County High School senior may apply seeking post-secondary education.  Preferences will NOT be given based on area of study.  All are encouraged to apply.

 How many scholarships will be awarded?

Two separate $600.00 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline is April 8 to Mr. Schneider.

This scholarship is intended only for Turtle Lake seniors. Preference will be given to students who will be going into the field of teaching or education. The value of this scholarship is $5000.  Deadline is April 11 to Mr. Schneider.

The Scholarships will be open to high school seniors from Barron, Cumberland, Turtle Lake or Clayton who reside in the Village of Almena or the rural Almena area. If available, scholarships may be awarded to "non-Almena" students.

Turtle Lake High School Student Criteria:

1. This scholarship is available to students seeking further education in service-oriented career fields. This is not limited to health care professions or those with interest in physical therapy.
2. The application must be typed in an essay-format, answering the questions below.

The Turtle Lake Music Boosters will consider applicants for a Music Booster Scholarship. This scholarship is non-recurring and is intended to pay for education (college or career/technical school) in the student’s first year after high school. The scholarship is based on participation in the music department and academic merit.

Essay: 

• Pick a historical item (individual person, family, event, business, art creation, landmark, etc..) and explain the contribution [he, she, they, it] has made or given to Polk County Wisconsin. The historical item of selection must have a significant association with Polk County Wisconsin.

Then, relate the successes, failures or other information gathered to your personal life, experiences, or ideologies.

Scholarship due date: April 17, 2024.   Scholarship amount: $1,000.00. 

This scholarship is intended for a Turtle Lake student who plan on majoring in an agricultural related field.

Requirements

1. Visual Arts Program Major including Art Therapy.
2. Evidence of involvement in activities in the school or community.
3. Autobiography: Submit a 1-2 page autobiography recognizing your activities, community service awards, reasons for pursuing a degree in the visual arts and how you plan on using your knowledge and skills upon graduation.
4. 2 letters of recommendation. (at least one from an art instructor).

Deadline to apply for the NTC  General Scholarship fund is April 22.  Many scholarships are available.

Our organization is again offering a $500.00 scholarship to a horticulture, landscape design, turf management or general program student.  

Criteria:
. Must be in a horticulture program – landscape design, turf management or
general program.
. Must be a Barron County high school senior or have graduated from a Barron
County high school and are attending an accredited 2- or 4-year school.
. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
. Should be or have been an active participant in school and community activities

Joe Kasper was a prominent volunteer with the Island City Snowmobile and ATV Club. Joe tragically passed away in a UTV accident on November 29th, 2020. He spent countless hours volunteering to help keep our trails in great shape. This scholarship is dedicated to Joe’s memory. Preference will be given to those seeking a degree from a trade school, vocational school, or a technical school, in addition to those who can demonstrate a high level of volunteer work or community involvement. The Island City Snowmobile and ATV club will award the recipient with a $500 scholarship to be paid during the 2nd semester of their post-secondary program.

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must be a senior at Turtle Lake High School who is currently involved in our Youth Apprenticeship program and who plans on attending post-secondary education.

This scholarship is for TLHS students who plan on furthering their education at either a university or technical school.  Preference will be given to students who have shown a spirit of volunteerism.  Please submit completed application to Mr. Schneider before April 28.  

One male and one female senior from Turtle Lake will be awarded $1000 each based up their leadership displayed while attending TLHS.  Deadline is April 28 to Mr. Schneider.

This $250 scholarship is intended for a Turtle Lake student who will be graduating in the class of 2024 and going into one of these fields:

1) Fire Safety

2) Police and/or EMT

3) Nursing

4) any other health-related field.

The applicant should show in their application their dedication for volunteering and desire to help others.

The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation seeks to make a college degree affordable for Wisconsin high school students who participate as players or managers in their school’s basketball program. Need-based scholarships, renewable annually, are offered for two- and four-year programs at any University of Wisconsin System school.

The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation accepts applications from qualifying seniors each year between February 1 and April 30. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than June 30th at the email address on file.

Eligibility Criteria

Cumberland Healthcare Foundation will award one (1) non-renewable $500 scholarship to a graduating senior currently attending Cumberland High School and one (1) non-renewable $500 scholarship to a graduating senior currently attending Turtle Lake High School.

Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or above (4.0 scale).

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited educational institution to pursue a health-related degree.

The Vintage Voyagers Street Rods of Chetek, Wl, offer a scholarshlp to any high school senior attending Northwood Tech or any other technical college after high school graduation. Field of continued education needs to be auto related (i.e., auto body or auto mechanics), or graphic design. Our scholarship, up to $500, has only two requirements: 1) Submit a short paragraph on the field you have chosen why you believe you should receive the scholarship. 2) Submit your high school attendance record with your submission.

Eligibility Criteria

Cumberland Healthcare Volunteer Partners will award one (1) non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior currently attending Cumberland High School and one (1) non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior currently attending Turtle Lake High School.

Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or above (4.0 scale).

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited educational institution to pursue a health-related degree.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

A high school senior eligible for the $1,000 Road to Success scholarship:

• Is currently insured through a private passenger auto policy with Grinnell Mutual, Grinnell Select, or Grinnell Compass
• Maintains a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0
• Has a clean driving record (no accidents or violations)
• Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the fall of 2024 as a full-time student
• Is not a dependent of any Grinnell Mutual employee or company board member

Each year, in partnership with Rural Mutual Insurance Company and Scott Construction, the Wisconsin Towns Association offers seven $1,000 scholarships to students who are graduating from a Wisconsin public or private high school and will be attending a Wisconsin public or private college or university in the fall of that year. Applicants are required to write a 500-1000 word essay on a specific topic that relates to town government. Proof of enrollment in a Wisconsin private or public college is required.  

This year's essay is "What strategies can be implemented by town officials in collaboration with citizens to maintain civitlty in local government".
