February is a month full of love, and here at Turtle Lake Schools, we have a LOVE for LEARNING! 📚✏️
To stay festive in February, kindergartners in Mrs. Getschel’s class spent their math time using candy hearts to practice sorting by color and graphing how many of each color they had. ➕📈➖ It was a fun activity that they even got to eat at the end! 🩷😋💜
The fun never ends at TL Schools! 🐢🤩

Turtle Lake Families, check this out‼️ ⬇️
A few weeks ago, some of our Turtle Lake students and staff enjoyed a curling outing in Rice Lake. It’s always great to see our Lakers building connections beyond the classroom! 🤩
Now, we have another exciting opportunity for our community. We are currently looking for families who may be interested in hosting an exchange student for the 2026–2027 school year through the Academic Year in America (AYA) program. Students may stay for a semester or the full academic year, and families also have the option to host short-term (6–8 weeks) as a welcome family.
Hosting is an incredible opportunity to share your home, learn about another culture, and make a lasting impact on a student’s life, while welcoming a new member into the Laker family. 💛 ❤️ Exchange students come with their own health insurance, spending money, and required documentation, and host families carefully select the student who best fits their home.
⭐️ If you are interested in learning more about becoming a host family, please contact:

Did you know February is Random Acts of Kindness Month!? 🩷⭐️
Our Laker students are no strangers to being kind and compassionate! Check out some of the random acts of kindness from our students:
⭐️ Fifth-grade students Emma A. and Roxanne A. visited Ms. Clymer's third-grade class to read to her students. They also gave the students goody bags. What an awesome act of kindness! 👏
⭐️ A few seniors and their siblings performed a random act of kindness by lightening the custodians' load and cleaning the bleachers after the doubleheader on Friday. Many thanks to these kind and generous students! 🫶
Keep up the kindness, Lakers! ☺️
