On Thursday, November 6th, three of our outstanding middle school musicians represented Turtle Lake at the Shell Lake Arts Center Middle School Band Festival! π₯π΅ These talented students were selected for their musical excellence and hard work:

On November 5th, author Mat Heagerty visited Turtle Lake Elementary to share his story and creativity with our students! π Mat is the author of Lumberjackula (on this yearβs Battle of the Books list!) and several other graphic novels. He spoke about his journey from a struggling dyslexic student to a published author. πͺ
He encouraged students to embrace mistakes, accept help, work as a team, and advocate for themselves, all while showing how a graphic novel comes to life through live illustrations based on student ideas! π¨ποΈ

FFA Volleyball Fun! πΎπ π The Turtle Lake FFA hit the court in Amery for a friendly volleyball tournament against other area FFA chapters! They had an awesome time competing, connecting, and showing that Laker spirit. π
