Go, Lakers! 💛🐢❤️
We’re still not over all the fun our Laker students had last weekend at our 2026 Homecoming Dance! 💃🪩 It was the perfect way to end an incredible week following our big win!
Students decorated the school gym around the theme of Stranger Things, the popular Netflix series. They then danced the night away, filling the gym with laughter, fun, and Laker pride! 🤩🐢
This year’s Homecoming was definitely one to remember! Go, Lakers! 💛❤️

Please help us welcome our new staff member here at Turtle Lake Schools! 🏫🐢
Tara Kuehndorf will be joining the Laker Team as a paraprofessional!
Miss Tara says that she is most excited to get to know the students, build positive relationships, and be part of a great school community. 🤩 Outside of the classroom, she enjoys being outside and staying active by going for long walks, hiking, and exploring state parks. She also enjoys hunting and fishing. 🌳🎣
A fun fact about Miss Tara is that she has an identical twin sister, and when they were in school, they used to trick their teachers into thinking they were each other! 😂
We are so excited to have Tara joining our team! Please help us give her a warm Laker welcome! 💛❤️

Don't fear, our 4K Apple Detectives are here! 🍎🕵️
In honor of the fall season, our 4K students took on the title of Apple Detectives to learn more about their five senses. 🖐️ They used their detective skills to learn about the different parts of an apple, the colors apples can be, and where apples come from.
Hands-on activities are always a great way to learn and have fun! 🤩

🎀🏐 JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL DIG PINK NIGHT! 🏐🎀
📅 Tuesday, October 6th
This year, our Dig Pink Night holds an extra-special meaning for our Laker Volleyball family. Our 2026 Dig Pink recipient is Ray Popenhagen, grandfather of our very own #5, junior Lacey Popenhagen.
On August 3, 2026, Ray was diagnosed with APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia). He is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment as he fights this difficult battle.
As a volleyball family and community, we want to surround Ray, Lacey, and the entire Popenhagen family with love, encouragement, and support during this challenging time. Proceeds from our Dig Pink fundraiser will help provide financial support to the family as Ray continues his treatment and recovery. 💗
🎟️ BASKET RAFFLE
Would you like to donate a basket for our raffle? We would greatly appreciate your support! Donated baskets can be dropped off at the school by Tuesday, October 6th at 3:30 p.m.
🧵 CUSTOM HANDMADE DIG PINK QUILT RAFFLE
We will also be raffling off a one-of-a-kind handmade quilt featuring our old Dig Pink shirts! You won't want to miss your chance to win this special piece of Laker Volleyball history!
Please join us on Tuesday, October 6th as we fill the gym with PINK and rally around Ray and the Popenhagen family. Together, we play for more than volleyball. We play for Ray. 💕🏐
