A former student of Mrs. Weber’s from Clayton, Amanda Grant recently spoke with a group of our high school Spanish II and III students about her language-learning journey since graduating from Clayton High School. 🤩🔥👏
She gave a phenomenal presentation about what is possible through language studies, with a specific emphasis on critical languages and the scholarships and grants available to students who choose to pursue these types of studies. She also shared a brief history of the Swahili language in the parts of Africa where she studied and inspired students to think big as they continue their education after graduation.
Amanda currently works for a law firm, translating documents into Swahili and English. Thank you for your time and for sharing your experiences with us. 💛❤️

The community garden consists of 12 large containers located by the greenhouse. Community members can fill out an application and pay $5 per container for the growing season, which runs from May 1 to November 1. It’s a great way to get involved in our wonderful community! 🫶
