On Wednesday, April 15, Turtle Lake High School was proud to be represented by seniors Ryanne Nykanen and Luke Moen at the Lakeland Conference Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet hosted by Shell Lake High School. 🤩🐢
Twenty-six student-athletes were recognized for their athletic and scholastic excellence by their schools and the Lakeland Conference. Luke and Ryanne were joined by their parents, their coaches Jonathan Chamberlain and Jon Bussewitz, and Activities Director Mary Mau. All were treated to a wonderful dinner and an inspirational keynote address by Craig Miles, a former high school coach and official and current assistant football coach at UW–River Falls.
We are so proud of Luke and Ryanne and all of our incredible student athletes we have within our district here at Turtle Lake! Keep up all the amazing work! 💛❤️

Rory has been with our great district for 14 years. His favorite sport is basketball, and one of his best high school memories is winning the sectional game. He shares that he loves the show Stranger Things. After graduating, Rory plans to attend UW–Eau Claire and pursue a career as a physical therapist. Congratulations, Rory! The football team will be taking a break from the spring cleanup fundraiser this year. Our team has been presented with another community service and fundraising opportunity that better fits our newly hired head coach during this time of transition.

The Turtle Lake AP Biology and AP Psychology students recently had the privilege of participating in the Cadaver Lab at UW-Stout. The Jarvis Hall Science Wing Cadaver Lab, one of only two in west-central Wisconsin, provides students with a rare opportunity to deepen their understanding of human anatomy through hands-on observation.
Students explored the complexity of the human body, from cells and tissues to organs and full systems, gaining a deeper appreciation for how everything works together. 🫀 🫁 🧠
This experience offered students a powerful, real-world connection to their classroom learning. Here at Turtle Lake, we love the opportunity to provide our students with hands-on, real-world experiences in fields that interest them. Thank you to UW-Stout for this unique education opportunity! 💛❤️

On April 9, Turtle Lake students traveled to Clear Lake to participate in the Lakeland Conference Middle School Honors Band and Choir. 🎶❤️ Students rehearsed with various directors from around the conference throughout the day, culminating in an evening concert.

Job Fair at Turtle Lake High School! 🤩💼
Mark your calendars for May 14, 2026, for an epic day at TL Schools! From 12:00–1:00 PM, high school students will have VIP access to the job fair, and then at 1:00 PM, the event opens to the general public.
Also, from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, there will be a special free event open to all—Ag on the Lawn, presented by FFA, taking place at the greenhouse! Midwest Machinery and Synergy Cooperative will be bringing equipment for the community to check out as well.
This is something you won’t want to miss! Will we see you there? 👀

Turtle Lake Middle School Musicians ⬇️ 🤩🎶

Each student performed a solo in front of a judge and was tested on their sight-singing skills. After singing individually, they then performed with other students in a small ensemble for the judge.
Students from Turtle Lake included Alyah L’Esperance, Prestyn Littlefield, Gretchen Molls, and Isaac Molls.
Students will find out the results at the end of May. Please wish them lots of luck! Great job, Lakers! 💛🐢❤️
