The Community Education Department is exploring the feasibility of offering an exciting, energetic Camp Turbo Day Camp on upcoming school in-service days. 🐢👏
Designed for district families with students in kindergarten through fifth grade (students must be at least 5 years of age), Camp Turbo will provide a warm, welcoming environment where your child can build relationships, explore, and thrive. 🤩 Campers will enjoy action-packed activities, including kids’ fitness, arts and crafts, sports, and gym games. 🏃🎨
Please take a few moments to complete this brief survey to help us gauge interest and scheduling needs! Your feedback is vital. A minimum of 35 students must register for the program to run. The cost is $20 per day, per student.

We are excited to announce that the Lakers Fall Festival will be held on September 29, 2026, from 5:00–7:30 PM outside the main entrance of the Turtle Lake Schools building! 🍁 ❤️
Here at Turtle Lake Schools, we believe it takes a village to support our students. That is why Turtle Lake rallies around 4K readiness and family fun!
During this event, pre-registration will be available for 3-year-olds entering 4K during the 2027–2028 school year. Registered families will receive updates on getting their child "4K Ready," along with invitations to upcoming Community Ed events.
We will also have several special guests to add to the fun! ⬇️
🚑 Safety & First Responders: Check out an ambulance with Cumberland Healthcare, meet the Turtle Lake Fire Department, join a car seat safety demonstration with Police Chief Derek Posey, and explore a Kobussen school bus! New students are welcome to try out the bus seats and get comfortable with bus safety before the first day of school.
👩⚕️ Health Services: Take advantage of free dental screenings for all children, provided by NorthLakes Community Clinic.
🫶 Community Resources: Connect with Village of Turtle Lake Library Director Colby Peterson, chat with Mosaic Telecom about their recent expansion, and learn about autism care strategies developed in partnership with UW-Stout.
🥤 Free Food & Drinks: Enjoy a complimentary meal! A Louie’s Finer Meats brat or hot dog, a bag of chips, and a bottle of water will be available. Brats will be freshly grilled by School Board President Bill Muench.

When he’s not at school, Mr. Mateski enjoys spending time in wild places. Whether he’s hunting, fishing, ultra-running, or exploring with his family, that’s where he loves to spend his free time! 🌲🎣
⛰️A fun fact about Mr. Mateski: This summer, he ran a 100-mile race called the Crazy Mountain 100 in Montana! He finished with an impressive time of 32 hours and 31 minutes, and the race included approximately 22,000 feet of elevation gain!
