📚 Toys for Tots Literacy at Turtle Lake School District! 📚
Toys for Tots Literacy Program donated several books to our school to help support our students by building our classroom libraries. Students and teachers were very excited to receive so many new books to expand their classroom libraries and put more books into students’ hands. 👏📖
Mrs. Turnipseed’s class says, “Our class is so happy to receive the books and have a whole new genre of spooky books to choose from!” 🤩

Michael has attended the Turtle Lake School District for 14 years. Everyone calls him Joe—that is his nickname! Joe shares that he enjoyed having Mr. Plooy as a teacher. His favorite food is pizza! Although he is still figuring out his plans post-graduation, we are excited to see what the future holds for this Laker student! Remember, once a Laker, always a Laker!

Congratulations to our 6th-grade Quiz Bowl team! 🎉👏
Bodhi Scoglio, Prestyn Littlefield, Skyler Matwich, Isaac Molls, and Jaxon McCready competed at the Quiz Bowl tournament in Clear Lake against Clear Lake School District and Prairie Farm School District.
In the end, our Lakers defeated Clear Lake in a tiebreaker! 🔥 Great job, students! Keep up the hard work!

A former student of Mrs. Weber’s from Clayton, Amanda Grant recently spoke with a group of our high school Spanish II and III students about her language-learning journey since graduating from Clayton High School. 🤩🔥👏
She gave a phenomenal presentation about what is possible through language studies, with a specific emphasis on critical languages and the scholarships and grants available to students who choose to pursue these types of studies. She also shared a brief history of the Swahili language in the parts of Africa where she studied and inspired students to think big as they continue their education after graduation.
Amanda currently works for a law firm, translating documents into Swahili and English. Thank you for your time and for sharing your experiences with us. 💛❤️
