This USA Hockey–sponsored event gives kids the chance to get on the ice, learn the basics, and see what hockey is all about, with no cost and equipment provided for first-year skaters! 🙌

One week ago, on October 14th, Ms. Gehring’s Vocational Skills class took an exciting field trip to Northwood Technical College and Project Search! 💼📚
At Northwood Tech, students explored the hospitality program, learned how to fold a cloth napkin like a pro, and toured the campus. 🧑🍳🎓 They also visited Project Search at Rice Lake Weighing Systems, where they toured the factory and learned how internships there help students gain real-world experience and hands-on career skills. 👏🏼

Hands-On Learning is in full bloom at Turtle Lake Schools! 🌻 Last week, Turtle Lake community member Joan Hochman stopped by with two giant sunflower heads for our students to explore! 🌞 Students learned all about the flower’s parts from the roots to the seeds! They even got to dissect a piece of the sunflower head themselves.
Each student got to take home sunflower seeds to plant and grow on their own. A perfect way to keep learning and growing beyond the classroom! 💛🌱❤️
