Chicks and Salsa in the Classroom!? ππΆοΈπ
Mrs. Warnerβs class dove into Chicks and Salsa by Aaron Reynolds, a fun story about what happens when the farm animals decide theyβre done with boring chicken feed!
Students practiced sequencing events and worked through a Story Grammar to learn all the key elements of a story.
To wrap up the week, we celebrated with a Chips & Salsa Party! π Students explored fresh ingredients like cilantro, garlic, and chiles, and tasted guacamole, salsa, and queso. A delicious ending to a great week of learning!



Tonight, our very own Girls Basketball Lakers take on the Red Raiders at π Bruce High School! The game starts at β° 7:15 PM, and we want to see YOU in the stands cheering them on! ππΌππ

National Guard representatives stopped by our cooking class for an exciting Top Chefβstyle challenge! Each team received two MREs and had to transform them into a brand-new dish, all while racing the clock β±οΈ To earn bonus ingredients, students completed fun physical challenges like planks and linked-arm cooking! πͺπ₯
