Title I Information
Title I is a federally funded program designed to provide tutorial/supplemental aid in the areas of reading, language arts, and/or math. The purpose of the program is to improve the educational opportunities of qualifying students by helping them succeed in the regular classroom. Title I instruction varies from student to student and from class to class. Some students will come to the Title I room for assistance and others will be aided in their classroom.
The Wisconsin Public of Instruction website contains more information concerning the Title I program. That website is found at https://dpi.wi.gov/title-i
Under Title I, we are required to provide parents/guardians with specific information about parents' rights and things they need to know about the Title I program. Listed below are those items.
School-Teacher-Parent-Student Compact:
This compact is shared with families at open house at the beginning of every school. Families will receive these compacts from their child's teacher.
Schoolwide Plan: K-5 Schoolwide Plan and 6-8 Schoolwide Plan
The schoolwide plan is data collected from the previous school year where goals are then created and strategies that the school has and uses to ensure success for every student are shared.

Curriculum and Assessments:
Kindergarten through fifth grade use Wonders for their reading curriculum resource and Math Expressions for their math curriculum resource. We also use Orton-Gillingham (OG) as part of our phonics instruction along with Wonders for grades K-2.
Sixth through eighth grade use Springboard for their reading curriculum resource and Desmos for their math curriculum resource.
Students K-5 are assessed using the curriculum resources' unit quizzes and tests and running records that track students' reading. They are also assessed 3 times a year using the universal screener Fastbridge. Student 6-8 are assessed as well using the curriculum resources' unit quizzes and tests.
