Business, Marketing & Information Technology Teacher Email Phone: 715-986-4470 ext. 2110 YouTube: channel/UCO4gXtNY4KnDVUB55GnW3gg Education Background: I am excited to return to my hometown as an educator. I graduated from Turtle Lake in 2000 and then attended UW-Barron County and played volleyball and transferred to UW-Stout and was a member of the track team. I received my bachelor’s degree in 2004 in marketing and business education with a minor in business administration and a specialization in training and human resource development. I taught 10 years gaining experience in area schools before coming to Turtle Lake—Prairie Farm (3), Amery (6), and Shell Lake (1). This will be my 4th year at Turtle Lake. I have taught a variety of classes including: accounting, business law, marketing, personal finance, elementary and middle school keyboarding, information processing, computer applications, Microsoft Office, graphic design, digital imaging, photography, advertising, introduction to programming, web design, game design, IT Essentials, and yearbook. In addition to teaching I have been involved in extra-curriculars: coaching volleyball and track and advising FBLA, yearbook, PEP club, and school store. About the Teacher: My home is in Turtle Lake where I live with my husband, Mike (4th grade teacher) and daughters, Katelyn (9), Kourtney (6), and Kallie (4). In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing cards and board games, watching sports (Go Pack!), playing volleyball, participating in fantasy football and racing, ice fishing, photography, and graphic design projects. Expectations: I look forward to working with your students on essential business skills to prepare them to be productive and informed citizens. We will use a variety of hands on experiences to teach real world concepts. I ask for an open mind, positive attitude, and commitment to try their hardest as they learn lifelong skills including: keyboarding, basic computer operation and software packages, banking and financial decision making, and the necessary math and communications skills to be successful.
