Class of 2023: Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative is now accepting online applications for its Community Service Scholarship Program. The co-op will award $1,500 scholarships to 95 students in the Class of 2025, for a total of $127,500. Scholarship candidates are also invited to apply for the 2025 Youth Tour of Washington, D.C. Two trips will be awarded, valued at $2,500 each.
Polk-Burnett’s scholarship program is based on community service, not academic grades, athletic performance or financial need. Candidates are required to submit a community service resume. In addition, candidates must be 1) the child or legal dependent of a Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative member, 2) graduating from high school in 2025 and 3) continuing education at an accredited technical school, college or university after high school. |

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship for high achieving, self-motivated students. BBB awards scholarships to Wisconsin high school seniors who have demonstrated character, leadership and ethical values. By focusing on these traits, we hope to develop future leaders who will promote ethics in the Wisconsin marketplace.

The Go Wisconsin 2025 Emma D. Boettiger Scholarship was established to encourage the pursuit of a post-secondary degree at the Universities of Wisconsin. The scholarship will award two academic scholarships to Wisconsin high school students who plan to enroll at a Universities of Wisconsin institution beginning Fall 2025 term. The scholarships are given in memory of Emma Boettiger’s sister, Nettie Dieckmann, and nephew, Freddie Dieckmann.
The scholarship is a four-time award of $2,000 (awarded in two disbursements each year over the course of four consecutive years, $1,000 for the fall semester and $1,000 for the spring semester). Recipients must provide proof of enrollment each year, once for the fall term and again for the spring term before scholarship funds are disbursed.
Go Wisconsin utilizes a holistic review process to determine the 2025 Emma D. Boettiger Scholarship recipients. Students interested in applying for the 2025 Emma D. Boettiger Scholarship should fill out the application form and submit all required documents. The Go Wisconsin Scholarship Committee will monitor the selection process. |

The Polk County Historical Society is offering the first ever Glassel-Hofmann Family College scholarship to eligible Polk County seniors in 2025. This need-based scholarship is being offered to students who will be attending a post-secondary institution (ex. technical school, community college, or four-year university). We are asking each student to submit a short essay along with the cover sheet and a picture.
Essay: Describe your future goals, what attending post-secondary school will mean to you, and how this scholarship can help you achieve your goals. No more than 1,000 words. The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation seeks to make a college degree affordable for Wisconsin high school students who participate as players or managers in their school’s basketball program. Need-based scholarships, renewable annually, are offered for two- and four-year programs at any University of Wisconsin System school.
The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation accepts applications from qualifying seniors each year between February 1 and April 30. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than June 30th at the email address on file.

Athletic Requirements
You must be participating in your high school’s boys or girls basketball program during this (your senior) year either as a player or a manager.
Financial Requirements
- The foundation uses your completed Free Application For Student Aid form (FAFSA) to determine financial need.
- You may also apply for and receive other financial aid.
Educational Requirements
- You must be a 2025 graduating senior of a Wisconsin high school – public or private.
- You must attend a University of Wisconsin System school as a full-time student (at least 12 credits), enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program.
- To renew your scholarship, you must maintain performance consistent with the original award criteria, including a cumulative grade point average greater than 2.0.

Foremost Media is excited to support a student in their quest to better their lives through higher education. With that in mind, we launched our Annual Foremost Media $500 Scholarship Award in 2019. We award at least one scholarship each year on June 1 to dedicated students who are pursuing or intend to pursue an undergraduate degree in Marketing or Web Development.

Joe Kasper was a prominent volunteer with the Island City Snowmobile and ATV Club. Joe tragically passed away in a UTV accident on November 29th, 2020. He spent countless hours volunteering to help keep our trails in great shape. This scholarship is dedicated to Joe’s memory. Preference will be given to those seeking a degree from a trade school, vocational school, or a technical school, in addition to those who can demonstrate a high level of volunteer work or community involvement. What is the Law Enforcement Foundation of Barron County?
The Law Enforcement Foundation of Barron County, founded in 2009, is an independent,
non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to fostering public safety through
community building, education, and outreach. In concert with area police departments,
the foundation works with a range of community safety advocates to develop and
implement public safety and crime prevention programs.
You are eligible for this scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
• You are currently a High School Senior in Barron County
• You will be attending post-secondary education next year either at a 4-year
University or 2 Year Vocational/Technical and majoring in police science, criminal
justice, or a law enforcement-related field.
• Your career aspiration is to become a Police Officer
Who selects the scholarship winners?
Scholarship recipients are selected by the members of the Law Enforcement Foundation
of Barron County Governance Board. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to
determine the number and amount of scholarships to be awarded in a given year.
How to Apply:

Each year, in partnership with Rural Mutual Insurance Company and Scott Construction, the Wisconsin Towns Association offers seven $1,000 scholarships to students who are graduating from a Wisconsin public or private high school and will be attending a Wisconsin public or private college or university in the fall of that year.
