Hello, my name is Neil Bygd.  

I have been teaching middle/high school physical and health education here at Turtle Lake since 2013.  During my time at Turtle Lake I have served as a high school football assistant coach, Head middle school football coach and a Head girls varsity basketball coach.  I grew up in nearby Prairie Farm, WI where I graduated in 1998.  During high school I played football, baseball, and basketball and as well as belonging to many other clubs and activities.  I attended my first year of college at UW-Stevens Point where I played some baseball.  I then transferred to UW-River Falls where I graduated with a physical education degree in 2005.  I also earned my health education from UW-Stout in 2006.  During my college years I served as the head football coach at Prairie Farm High School from 2002-2005.  I then took a varsity football and basketball job at Elcho High School in Northeast WI for a year.  In 2006 I got my first professional teaching job at Menomonie High School teaching physical education as well as coaching varsity football and basketball.  For the next 5 years I taught at the Augusta School District teaching physical and health education as well as serving as the head football coach.  I live in nearby Hillsdale with my wife Lori and two daughters Lauren and Elaina who both attend Turtle Lake.  I love the outdoors and recently started my own business working with clients to improve upon their whitetail deer habitat management.  Check me out on face book @Nontypical habitat designs.  I really enjoy being a part of the Turtle Lake School District and community and look forward to working with your students.
